The Model 2500 Chiselvator is designed to remove in-row compaction while maximizing root growth, moisture absorption and nutrient utilization. The 2500 uses a notched coulter to cut through the residue. Following the coulter are two heave limiter gauge wheels which operate in conjunction with the chisel shank, as the chisel shank slots the soil from 6" to 10" deep the heave limiter wheels keep the soil from heaving up. Following this is a straight legged shank with replaceable shares, sifting fingers mounted on the rear of the share are adjustable for movement of soil closer or further from the row. Sizes are available in two row through twelve row.
